In addition to releasing four studio projects with Medeski, Martin & Wood throughout 2008, bassist Chris Wood will issue his second studio album with his brother Oliver on April 1. Loaded finds The Wood Brothers tackling nine new originals, as well as covers of Bob Dylans ‘Buckets of Rain’ and Jimi Hendrix ‘Angel.’ John Medeski has once again signed on to produce the disc, which will feature contributions by guest vocalists like Amos Lee, Pieta Brown and Frazey Ford. The Wood Brothers will hit the road for a short tour in support of the project, beginning with a gig at Vancouver, BCs Richard’s on Richards on April 16. Before then, the paired performers will appear at Langerado on March 8.
