While the first weekend of Jazz Fest has wrapped up, music will continue unabated in the Crescent City. On Thursday at The Howlin’ Wolf Jason Miles and DJ Logic will perform with their Global Noize project, drawing together Billy Martin, Oteil Burbridge, Karl Denson, Bernie Worrell, Christian Scott, Topaz and Carl Burnett as well. In addition, Russell Batiste will assemble a band with Eric Krasno, Leo Nocentelli and friends. As for the Howlin’ Wolf, tomorrow night’s show promises to be a memorable one as well, as the Megalomaniacs Ball features a line-up of Garage a Trois, the Stanton Moore Trio, Mike Dillon’s Go-Go Jungle, Skeriks Maelstrom Trio and the Marco Benevento Trio with Matt Chamberlain and Reed Mathis.
