Bob Dylan and His Band will headline the Saratoga Music Festival August 17. The daylong gathering will take place at the Saratoga Springs Performing Arts Center on August 17, also featuring The Levon Helm Band, The Swell Season, Conor Oberst & The Mystic Valley Band, Steve Earle, Gillian Welch, & David Rawlings and Raul Malo. Oberst performed with Welch and Rawlings on several occasions throughout his multi-night stand at New Yorks Town Hall in 2007. Earle also sat in with Oberst at Town Hall and has collaborated with Welch numerous times over the years. Of course, Dylan has an even deeper relationship with Helm dating back to the support tour for 1965s Highway 61 Revisited. The last time Helm collaborated with a member of the Dylan family at SPAC was in 1997 when he sat in with Jakob Dylans band the Wallflowers.
