Celebrated rock photographer Danny Clinch also gets his mojo on in the live setting by performing with The Tangiers Blues Band. Last night, the group appeared at New York City’s tiny R Bar. There the band was joined over the course of its set by fellow blues aficionados Phil Lesh and Jackie Greene, who are in town to open their Nokia Theatre run this evening. Other guests who have have sat in with the Blues Band over the years include: Bruce Willis, Lars Ulrich, Gavin DeGraw and John McEnroe. Back on February 12, 2006, Clinch sat in with Phil Lesh and Friends at the Beacon Theatre, joining in on harmonica for the In the Midnight Hour encore.
