Our latest Fan Site of the Month is Musical Stew Daily. The good folks at the site, have sent along this overview…
MSDs Inception
Musical Stew Daily was conceived on a lazy summer’s day this past summer to Matt and Kelly Andrews, a newly married couple in Atlanta, Ga. who share a common love for all things music related. Their main objective for the newborn blog was to cure the common case of boredom and enlighten some friends with new musicand the site took off from there.
MSDs Offerings
Musical Stew Daily offers a vast collection of rare and classic concert videos and publicly traded shows, an e-newsletter, periodic contests, first-person reviews of live shows from MSDs occasional roving reporters and other offerings to keep readers abreast of trends and news within the music industry. The site is updated and maintained throughout the day by Matt, who’s always looking for news, articles and live music downloads that fit the site.
Their slogan, ‘Music that moves us’ is in reference to the wide range of musical artists that are featured on the site. With an emphasis on Phish, moe. Umphrey’s, Panic, Grateful Dead, generous portions of Miles Davis, Wilco, My Morning Jacket, add periodic dashes of jazz, funk, bluegrass, and rock, and you’re likely to find something you’ll like.
MSDs Future
Musical Stew Daily will soon feature a monthly podcast that will serve as a compendium of tracks that have been available for download on the site as well as feature up-coming contests and giveaways. Twitter feeds will also soon be added to the site for up-to-the-minute live music reviews and news.
