Widespread Panic paid tribute to soul legend Solomon Burke last night at Milwaukee, WI’s The Riverside. Early in its second set, Panic performed Burke’s “None Of Us Are Free,” a song the band has covered since 2005. Burke, who passed away this weekend, performed onstage with Widespread Panic in 2008.

In other news, Widespread Panic welcomed several guests to the stage Friday night at Kansas City, MO’s The Midland Theater. Chicago’s Lubriphonic opened the show and, during Panic’s second set, Charles Prophet, Jr (saxophone) and Rick King (percussion) emerged for a drum segment that led into “Big Wooly Mammoth.” Later in the night, the members of Lubriphonic took the stage for “True To My Nature.”
