Billy Strings has confirmed a series of live shows that will serve as his official Summer Tour. The quick-picking golden boy has signed off on the venues associated with his 12-night run, after previously teasing fans with a journal-style presentation of details that suggested the cities and dates he would hit when the days grow longer and grass bleached by the sun. Billy Strings’ Summer Tour begins on July 14 at the Berglund Center in Roanoke, Va.
After initiating his road show on one side of the state, Strings and his band, Billy Failing, Royal Masat, Jarrod Walker and Alex Hargreaves, will take their bluegrass appeal and appreciation for traditional music to Portsmouth Pavilion in Portsmouth, Va., for two nights, July 17-18. The ensemble will then proceed up the coast for an evening at Boston’s Agganis Arena on July 21.
Strings’ Boston arrival kicks off a series of Northeastern appearances, which ensues over two nights at Cross Insurance Arena in Portland, Maine, on July 24-25. On July 28, the band will take the PeoplesBank Arena stage in Hartford, Conn., before their highly anticipated arrival at the original Woodstock location, where they will spread peace and love over two nights, July 31 and August 1, at Bethel Woods Center for the Arts in Bethel, N.Y.
The final location on Billy Strings’ Summer Tour brings the frontman back to his home state for two nights, August 28-29, at Ionia County Fairgrounds in Ionia, Mich. The band has been off the road since their 2025 finale in Austin, Texas, on Dec. 14, despite Strings’ extended New Year’s Eve sit-in with Widespread Panic, which kept him active in the interim. With time away from the stage, Strings has teased photos and videos from the studio, actions that correspond with his aforementioned journal-style tease: “LET’S MAKE A RECORD.” See here.
An artist pre-sale begins today, with public on sale to follow on Friday, Jan. 30, at 10 a.m. E.T. For additional information, visit www.billystrings.com/tour/summer-2026.
