On Saturday, My Morning Jacket closed out their One Big Holiday festival, which was held at Miramar Beach, Fla.’s Seascape Golf Course for the first time. Like their headlining performances on Thursday and Friday, My Morning Jacket dug deep into their catalog on Saturday and welcomed a number of fellow event performers during their extended set.
Fittingly, My Morning Jacket opened their One Big Holiday finale with “One More Saturday Night,” the Bob Weir-penned classic that they debuted at the 2025 MusiCares Gala honoring the Grateful Dead in January. Though the musicians performed the tune once again for a SiriusXM taping, Saturday’s set was the first time they ran through the cut, which is a Dead-family staple, for a public audience.
A few songs later, My Morning Jacket brought out the members of Illiterate Light for “Lay Low,” which appears on Z, an album celebrating its 20th anniversary this year. Soon after, the members of the Louisville, KY folk act Bendigo Fletcher took the stage with MMJ for the second show in a row, which time for the Circuital gem “Wonderful (The Way I Feel).” Then, at the end of My Morning Jacket’s set, Athens, GA act Futurebirds, who have grown into close collaborators of My Morning Jacket guitarist Carl Broemel, joined in on the At Dawn jam vehicle “Phone Went West.”
For their encore, My Morning Jacket nodded to several eras of their career, offering up the live favorite “Where to Begin,” the Jim James solo tune “State of the Art (A.E.I.O.U.),” “Love Love Love” from 2021’s self-titled album and their signature tune, “One Big Holiday.” Dinosaur Jr. guitarist J Mascis also emerged to help out on the cut, a fitting conclusion to the festival that shares its name.
