LaMP, featuring Russ Lawton, Scott Metzger, and Ray Paczkowski, has announced a 12-date fall tour, which is slated to include inaugural Midwest appearances. The run of newly dropped concert dates from the improvisational groove trio will pick up on Oct. 10 at Pittsburgh’s Mr. Small’s Theatre before moving inward toward the center of the country.
After night one, the band, which initially came together for a one-off performance at Nectar’s in Burlington, Vt., will continue its fall tour with an ensuing stop on Oct. 11 at the Beachland Ballroom in Cleveland. Without a night off, the group arrives at Headliners Music Hall in Louisville, Ky., on Oct. 12, inevitably resting their bones ahead of their Oct. 14 appearance at Hi-Fi in Indianapolis.
An evening in Music City arrives on Oct. 15 at 3rd & Lindsley in Nashville, Tenn, comes next and preludes their other gig at St. Louis’s Old Rock House (Oct. 17). LaMP will return to The Bluegrass State on Oct. 18 to take the stage at Madison Live in Covington, Ky., before a highly-anticipated Chicago debut at the Chop Shop.
With the fall season in full swing, LaMP will take a couple of weeks off the road before resuming on Nov. 7 at the Center for the Arts in Homer, N.Y. Back on the East Coast, they will continue their jaunt with a night at Ardmore Music Hall in Ardmore, Pa. (Nov. 8) and a follow-up at Lark Hall in Albany, N.Y. (Nov. 9). The group’s final fall appearance will occur at The Drake in Amherst, Mass. (Nov. 21).
Along with today’s fall tour announcement, LaMP premiered a live video of “Tango,” filmed earlier this year on April 19 at PHOME venue in Portland, Maine. The clip was directed, filmed, and edited by Caitlin Carolan of Just One Look Media. It arrived after the band released its double album Live At Nectar’s, recorded on November 3 and 4, 2023, at the band’s Burlington, Vt. home base. Listen/order the LP.
Tickets go on sale via artist pre-sale at ilikelamp.com from Wednesday, July 24, at 9 a.m. CT through Thursday, July 25, at 9 a.m. CT, while the general on-sale begins Friday, July 26, at 9 a.m. CT.
