Bassist and songwriter Gregory McLoughlin will release his 14th single as a solo artist, “Hemispheres” this evening, Monday January 15. The single will debut during a YouTube video watch party immediately following his 190th Monday Night Livestream, which is slated for 8pm ET. McLoughlin, who was recently profiled in Relix’s On the Verge section, has hosted a livestream almost every Monday since the onset of the pandemic in 2020.

“This is a song about summertime, but specifically inspired by the beautiful landscape of New England’s Cape Cod National Seashore,” the bassist said in a statement. “I am releasing it in the dead of Winter to remind us of warm summer memories and help push us through the cold months. The song was written in Cape Cod during the summer of 2022, and the video footage was taken on the cape during the summer of 2023 Jersey City Heights New Jersey.”

The musician and his Lemonade Band will celebrate the single’s release with a show at Hoboken, NJ’s Finnegans on January 18. McLoughlin also recently supported Dark Star Orchestra with a pre-show set at Garcia’s before the Dead tribute band played the Port Chester, NY venue main Capitol Theatre space.
