A new multi-day festival entitled Queen City Jam Session has announced they’re set to celebrate their premiere gathering at one of Charlotte N.C.’s oldest breweries, NoDa Brewing Company on North Tryon Street on Aug. 19-21, 2022.

The festival assembled after NoDa Brewing Company joined hands with Independent music promoter MaxxMusic. Queen City Jam Session will welcome headliners Greensky Bluegrass, Infamous Stringdusters and Oteil and Friends (Oteil Burbridge, Eric Krasno, Steve Kimock, Jason Crosby, Johnny Kimock and Jen Hartswick). Other bands joining the inaugural lineup include Spafford, Rebirth Brass Band and Victor Wooten, and Charlotte-area mainstays Cyanca and Natalie Carr. Additional acts are expected to be announced in the coming days and weeks.

“I started MaxxMusic 26 years ago because bands were regularly skipping the Charlotte market and playing everywhere but here,” said MaxxMusic founder Gregg McCraw in a press release. “26 years later, it’s clear that most major cities have a music festival. It’s time that we had one of our own, so it’s exciting to fill that void. It’s the next obvious step in the evolution of MaxxMusic’s growth as an independent music promoter.”

The three day festival is named after one of NoDa’s most choice craft beers the Jam Session, and will also feature food trucks, along with a VIP section with premium viewing and more.

“NoDa Brewing Co. has always had a passion for bringing together people in the community over a beer and for music,” added Jacob Virgil, Director of Strategic Development for NoDa Brewing Company. “We are excited to marry the two and create what we hope will be Charlotte’s premier music festival for years to come.”
