Today, Oteil Burbridge announced via Instagram that he will be performing a special Oteil & Friends After Dark show during the opening night of the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival at the Joy Theater in New Orleans on April 29.

Like many artists, the upcoming performance will mark a long-overdue return to Jazz Fest for Burbridge, who scheduled a similar show in 2020 and was set to headline the festival with Dead & Company in 2020 and 2021– all of which were canceled due to the COVID pandemic.

The friends set join Oteil are guitarists Eric Krasno and Tom Guarna, multi-instrumentalist Jason Crosby, fellow Allman family bassist Lamar Williams Jr., keyboardist Matt Slocum and drummer Pete Lavezzoli.

Tickets for the show are available here.
