New York City’s Tibet House U.S. Benefit Concert has added Cyndi Lauper, Paul Simon, Stephen Colbert, Jess Paris Smith, and Camerata- Queensland’s Chamber Orchestra to the 35th annual lineup.
This year’s event will honor artistic director Philip Glass’ 85th birthday, which lands on March 3, the day of the concert. The live stream will feature Keanu Reeves, Nathaniel Rateliff, Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit, Angélique Kidjo, Margo Price, Punch Brothers, The Fiery Furnaces, Tenzin Choegyal, and more. The evening will also feature special greetings from Iggy Pop, Bernard Summer, and more.
All proceeds from the event will to support the work of Tibet House U.S., a nonprofit educational institution and cultural embassy founded in 1987 at the request of the Dalai Lama, to ensure the survival of the Tibetan civilization.
