Today, Ringo Starr released the updated details of the All Starr Band’s upcoming tour plans for May and June of 2022. This time around he’ll welcome Steve Lukather, Colin Hay, Warren Ham, Gregg Bissonette, Hamish Stuart on the road. Additionally, multi-instrumentalist Edgar Winter is set to re-join the ensemble for the first time since 2008.

Starr’s 22-date tour will start at the Casino Rama in Ontario, Canada on May 27, which marks the fifth time the drummer has launched a tour from that location (2001, 2003, 2006 and 2014.) Starr and his band will then travel through New England with stops in Massachusetts and New Hampshire before a three-night run at the Beacon Theater in New York City.

They will also make stops in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Maryland and Georgia. The spring run will come to a close with a performance at Ruth Eckerd Hall in Clearwater, Fla. on June 26. The tour marks Starr’s first excursion since the pandemic derailed his plans in 2020 and again in 2021.

“I can’t wait to get back out on the road and play,” said Starr in a press release. “This is the longest I’ve been off the road in years – up until 2020 I was touring every year with the All Starrs – and I’ve really missed it. Making music in the studio has been great, and it certainly saved me during the pandemic, but nothing beats playing live with great musicians in front of an audience. I love my fans and they love me and it’s going to be wonderful to be peace and loving and playing for them again.”

Since 2020 Starr has released two EPs, Zoom In and Change The World, and two books including Ringo Rocks: 30 Years of the All Starrs 1989-2019 and Lifted: Fab Images and Memories of My Life with The Beatles From Across the Universe.
