David Lee Roth has announced that his sold-out shows for his residency at the House of Blues Las Vegas have been canceled. The shows were set to take place on Dec. 31, 2021, along with appearances on Jan. 1, 4, 7, 8, 14, 15, 21 and 22.
Initially, the performances for Dec. 31 and Jan. 1 were pushed to Feb. 11 and 12, respectively, due to the rise in COVID-19 cases caused by the omicron variant. On Jan. 3, the Van Halen front vocalist decided to cancel the shows altogether, according to a representative from The House of Blues. The shows have been wiped from the venue’s website and schedule. Though, there has been no official statement from Roth or his representatives he did share a Tweet of an image that reads “A funny thing happened on the way to Las Vegas.”
All tickets purchased from the House of Blues will be automatically refunded within 30 days. Those who did not purchase tickets through the venue directly should contact their point of purchase.
