Around the same time as their Tiny Desk (Home) Concert, instrumental duo Rodrigo y Gabriela paid homage to the Pink Floyd songbook with a version of the epic “Echoes.”
“This piece, ‘Echoes,’ has a profound spiritual message that tells us to reconnect with a part of ourselves—that part that is the most pure, the most humane piece of ourselves,” the band writes from their home studio. “When we do this, we can truly connect with all living beings on a very elemental level. It’s a practice that we can all do anytime, without the use of any device.”
The duo’s arrangement of the Pink Floyd tune can also be heard on their 2019 album Mettavolution.
