Dark Star Orchestra has rescheduled the Dark Star Jubilee to May 28-30, 2021 due to coronavirus concerns.
“We hung in there as long as we could, but it looks like Covid-19 is going to have its way this year,” read a statement from the band. “Unfortunately, we have to reschedule the Dark Star Jubilee for 2021, but in the spirit of delivering the 9th edition of The Jubilee as it was meant to be, we are thrilled and grateful that most of the bands have already committed to making the move with us.”
Regarding tickets and refunds, the band said: “All 2020 Festival Tickets, Kids Tickets, and RV Passes will be honored for 2021 and if you can’t make it, we will process refund requests received by May 22, 2020.”
In addition to the rescheduling of the Dark Star Jubilee, Dark Star Orchestra has announced that more of their spring tour dates have been rescheduled.
“Plowing forward in an effort to bring the music to your hometown as originally planned, we have successfully rescheduled 21 of 24 shows,” the band wrote in a statement. “We postponed and rescheduled Spring Tour 1 a few weeks ago and now we have done the same for Spring Tour 2. Strange days indeed.”
However, not all the shows were able to be rescheduled. “Unfortunately, we were unable to reschedule our shows for May 14 at Count Basie Center For The Arts in Red Bank, NJ and May 18 at McCarter Theatre in Princeton, NJ, and they have been outright cancelled. Refunds will be automatically processed from ticket holder’s point of purchase,” the band announced.

April 13, 2020 at 9:44 amMaybe you should go to the Dr if you have the chills. This band has NOTHING original to offer. I doubt a young Jerry would go to see a cover band covering one band exclusively. Its a money grab with very little or no talent required.
Charles is a dope
April 13, 2020 at 10:24 amSo I guess you’ll be posting your dead covers here so we can all see how easy it is, right? /s
I don’t get people like you who just want to let the music die and never be heard in front of a live audience again just because Jerry’s dead. I guess you’d say the same thing to anyone going to hear a performance of Beethoven right? This goddamn symphony only ever does covers!
It’s possible to enjoy new music and old music – who would’ve ever guessed???

May not be like the Dead at my 1st show in 77′, but Fun this band is!! Hope they stick around for 20 plus more years. They come to please and they deliver!

April 11, 2020 at 10:03 pmTed, yup I’d take anything right now. As pointed out in a recent meme, “Now is the Drums/Space portion of our life.” 😉
