Earlier this week, Jackson Browne headlined New York City’s esteemed Beacon Theatre, playing a career-spanning single set with accompaniment by the vocal duo of Lucius as well as a special sit-in by singer Leslie Mendelson.
The Monday-night gig was Browne’s first of four shows at the Beacon. Mendelson’s sit-in came halfway through the performance, and the two singers offered a duet on “A Human Touch,” a tune they wrote and recorded the together for the documentary film, 5B, which shines a light on America’s first-ever AIDS hospital unit.
