After announcing last week that they foresaw a 2016 tour starting in January, Tool have confirmed eight of those dates, which will see the band supported by Primus.

Touted as an “Unparalleled Sonic and Visual Experience,” the tour will kick off on January 9 at Viejas Arena in San Diego, CA, then will head to the middle of the country for dates in Texas and Oklahoma before heading to the Southeast and rounding out the month in Atlanta and at the Bojangles Coliseum in Charlotte, NC on January 26. Primus, who supported Tool during their recent Halloween show, will open for Tool during their upcoming run. Tool drummer Danny Carey has worked with Les Claypool over the years and toured as Primus’ drummer last year when Tim Alexander faced some medical issues. The tour’s confirmed schedule can be found bellow:

Tickets for the announced shows will go on sale this Friday, November 20, and more dates are expected soon.
