Last night, The Black Crowes’ run of summer shows with Levon Helm and his band continued at Boston’s Bank Of America Pavilion. The Crowes recorded their forthcoming albums Before the Frost… and Until the Freeze in Helm’s Woodstock studio earlier this year with producer Paul Stacey. Helm was home during the sessions and sat in with the Black Crowes a few times during their recording sessions. His collaborations with the band continued last night when he brought out Chris and Rich Robinson to play on The Band anthem “The Weight” at the end of his set. The musicians will likely share the stage again this Saturday at Atlantic City, NJ’s Borgata.
