As previously reported, last night Sex Mob and DJ Logic anchored a benefit for noted producer and engineer Scotty Hart. The show took place at New York’s Sullivan Hall and, throughout the night, a number of additional musicians took the stage. Otis Grove opened the night, before DJ Logic spun. Sex Mob then took the stage for two guest-heavy sets, with Logic returning to the stage after the show and during setbreak. Most notably, John Medeski stopped by the club to play after performing two solo pianos sets earlier in the evening at The Stone (Medeski is currently the venue’s guest curator). Other guests to sat in with Sex Mob included: Trevor Dunn, Eric Krasno, Will Bernard,
Adam Rogers, Ben Perowsky, Doug Wieselman and, of course, Logic. Medeski will return to the Stone this evening for a performance with Marc Ribot (guitar), Calvin Weston (drums) and Billy Martin (drums) as Hum. Please click here to donate to Hard’s trust.
