Al Howard, formerly of the K23 Orchestra has recently resurfaced with a new project. The Heavy Guilt also features former JFJO drummer Jason Smart, Howard’s fellow K23 alum Josh Rice on the Fender Rhodes and Hammond B3, vocalist Erik Canzona and two veterans of numerous San Diego jazz ensembles: guitarist Sean Martin and bassist Jason Littlefield. The group is now offering up two free songs from its debut recording Lift Us Up From This on its website. In addition, the band has announced a program whereby anyone who emails the mp3s to ten friends and Ccs the band on the email, will receive an autographed copy of Lift Us Up From This, with the full details at theheavyguilt.com.
