A number of New York-area musicians will perform the music of Jimi Hendrix next month. Some Cat from Japan: Music inspired by Jimi Hendrix will take place at New York’s Sullivan Hall on Saturday, January 16. As of press time the event’s lineup includes guitarist Will Bernard, singer Nigel Hall, guitarist Scott Metzger (RANA), bassist Ron Johnson (Karl Denson’s Tiny Universe/Brett Dennen) and drummer Eric Bolivar (Karl Denson’s Tiny Universe). Hendrix’s final apartment was located just a few blocks away from Sullivan Hall at 59 W. 12th St., and the guitarist’s famed Electric Lady Studio is located even closer to the room at 52 West 8th Street.
