The 34th annual Beale Street Music Festival will return to Memphis, TN from April 30 to May 2. A range of artists will perform at the event, which began on Beale Street proper in 1977 and moved to Tom Lee Park in 1990. Acts set to appear on Friday, April 30, include: Widespread Panic, Jeff Beck, Limp Bizkit, Blues Traveler, Goo Goo Dolls and The B-52s. Saturday, May 1, will feature: The Flaming Lips, Gov’t Mule, North Mississippi Allstars, Drive-By Truckers, Alice In Chains, Bobby ‘Blue’ Bland, Jerry Lee Lewis and Colbie Caillat. Finally Sunday, May 2’s entertainment boasts, among others: Earth, Wind & Fire, Alison Krauss & Union Station (featuring Jerry Douglas), Booker T & the MGs, John Hiatt, Hubert Sumlin, Band of Horses, Sonny Landreth and Leon Russell. The Beale Street Music Festival event is part of the Memphis in May International Festival.
