Nigel Hall, the keyboard player and vocalist who current performs with Chapter 2, performed his own gig last night on Stage 2 at New York City’s Rockwood Music Hall. His group featured some familiar faces, with two of his Chapter 2 bandmates (and Royal Family Records labelmates), Eric Krasno and Adam Deitch. Rather than his usual guitar, Krasno performed on bass, in a line-up that also featured Maurice Brown on trumpet. At the close of the 90 minute set, Krasno picked up the guitar, as Stu Mahan joined in on bass for a cover of Earth Wind & Fire’s “Can’t Hide Love.”
