The Trachtenburg Family Slideshow Players will release Lost & Found this summer—its first album since 2003’s Vintage Slide Collections from Seattle Vol 1. The family band—comprised of Tina Trachtenburg (Mother, projectors), Jason Trachtenburg (Father, guitar and piano) and Rachel Trachtenburg (Daughter, drums)—write stories based around the slides they collect throughout the country. Lost & Found will feature 10 new “slide songs,” a theme song, a poem and bonus-track debut recordings from the Trachtenburg’s spin-off projects SUPERCUTE! (featuring Rachel Trachtenburg,) and The Pendulum Swings (featuring Jason Trachtenburg). The Trachtenburg Family Slideshow Players will preview its new material with a show at New York’s Pianos on May 11 as well as during residency at New York’s Bowery Electric on June 14, 21 and 28.
