As previously reported, Band co-founder Garth Hudson will celebrate the 36th anniversary of the concert filmed for The Last Waltz at Glenside, PA’s Keswick Theatre on November 24. Billed as the Songs of The Band, the show will feature music from The Band’s first four studio albums as well as their The Basement Tapes collaboration with Bob Dylan. Conan / Fab Faux guitarist Jimmy Vivino will serve as the evening’s musical director. Hudson has now confirmed that a few additional members of The Band family will back him throughout the night. Those guests include latter day Band guitarist Jim Weider, latter day Band drummer Randy Ciarlante and longtime Levon Helm Band bassist Byron Isaacs. Sister Maud Hudson, Garth’s wife, will also sing at the event.
