Members of The Motet and Big Gigantic will bring their Herbie Hancock tribute show to Boulder, CO’s Boulder Theater on July 25. The show will reunite Motet members Dave Watts, Joey Porter and Garrett Sayers with Big Gigantic saxophonist Dominic Lalli. (Lalli is also a former member of The Motet.) The evening will focus on the “funkiest, greasiest, nastiest music from the 1970’s songbook of Herbie Hancock.” Lalli has joined the members of The Motet for a few Hancock tributes in Colorado between his other commitments. As previously reported, Big Gigantic sat in with The Disco Biscuits at Morrison, CO’s Red Rocks last week.
