Guitarist Charlie Hunter, trumpeter Steven Bernstein, saxophonist Skerik and drummer Bobby Previte will come together for another Omaha Diner show this summer. The performance will take place at New York’s Brooklyn Bowl on July 18. Billed as a night of “Top 40 as you’ve never heard it before,” the show features instrumental versions of pop songs from throughout the decades. A recent Omaha Diner show included covers by the likes of The Rolling Stones (“Miss You”), Adele (“Rolling in the Deep”), Merle Travis (“Sixteen Tons”), Van Halen (“Jump”), Maroon 5 (“Moves Like Jagger”) and Hall & Oates (“I Can’t Go For That (No Can Do)), among others. Derrick Freeman & Smoker’s World will open Omaha Diner’s Brooklyn Bowl show.
