The Avett Brothers and Aretha Franklin are among the artists that will perform at the annual National Christmas Tree Lighting ceremony in Washington, DC on December 6. The event—which will feature appearances by President Obama, First Lady Michelle Obama and a number of other dignitaries—will take place at The Ellipse just south of the White House. Joshua Bell, Renée Fleming, Janelle Monae, Arturo Sandoval and Train are also set to perform at the ceremony. Fans will be able to watch the tree lighting event live online when it kicks off at 4:30 pm.
