Relix will stream a series of spiritual and musically inclined High Holiday services this week. The free streams include the Kol Nidre and Yom Kippur morning service slated to take place at New York’s Cutting Room this Wednesday at 7:30pm and this Thursday at 10am, respectively. Tickets are available to attend because services in person as well.
Part of the same musical services that took place at New York’s Brooklyn Bowl over Rosh Hashanah, both upcoming offerings will be led by Rabbi Daniel Brenner and musical director Jeremiah Lockwood. The house band will include Isaac Gardner, John Bollinger, Jordan McLean, Stuart Bogie, Yula Be’eri and Yusuke Yamamoto and Tim Allen. A mix of guests will join in as well.
During the Rosh Hashanah morning service at the Bowl this past Tuesday, Melt’s Marlo Shankweiler, The Revivalists’ Zack Feinberg, Joe Russo’s Almost Dead’s Scott Metzger and Color TV’s Bryan Grone collaborated on a surprise meditative improvisation.
