Tedeschi Trucks Band’s first Fireside Sessions performance occurred earlier this week on Feb. 18. The band had announced that “each episode features a different cast of band members – from Derek and Susan as a duo to four, six, and eight-member combinations.” The first edition featured a quartet of Susan Tedeschi, Derek Trucks, bassist Brandon Boone and drummer Tyler “Falcon” Greenwell.
The quartet kicked things off with a performance of Blind Willie McTell’s “Stateboro Blues” (frequently performed by The Allman Brothers Band). Next came “Simple Things” from TTB’s debut record Revelator. The band then played two cuts from 2013’s Made Up Mind: “Misunderstood” and “It’s So Heavy.”
The second portion of the set featured a series of covers, including Stevie Wonder’s “Loving You is Sweeter Than Ever” and Elmore James’ “The Sky Is Crying.” Amid some other originals, the band performed their oft-played pairing of John Prine’s “Angel From Montgomery” into “Sugaree.” The set closed with one last cover, Carlos Santana’s “Soul Sacrifice.”
Check out the full setlist and a sneak peek at the beginning of the set below!

February 23, 2021 at 3:37 pmWho actually pays to watches these? Do all the leftist artists really think the streams are substitutes for live concerts? Fauci said masks until 2022, so I guess they will continue to happily go along with the lockdowns…may they all go broke.
