To promote his new American Utopia film (now streaming on HBO Max), David Byrne recently appeared on Late Night with Seth Meyers.
At one point, Meyers asks how Spike Lee got involved with the project, and Byrne responds in his classic deadpan style.
“I texted Spike,” Byrne chuckles. “A text is a wonderful thing.”
In other Byrne-related news, the Talking Heads frontman has launched We Are Not Divided, “a six-week collaborative journalistic exploration of our capacity to overcome division.” The project intends to explore “stories of places and institutions that are succeeding in overcoming division.”
