The Who is the latest band to dig into their archives for a free weekly online broadcast.
Their “Join Together @ Home” offering will occur for the next six weeks, starting this Saturday, Aug. 8 at 10 a.m. PT/1 p.m. ET.
The show will kick off with “an exclusive ‘red carpet’ premiere clip from Roger Daltrey” and later showcase five live clips from The Who’s 1982 Shea Stadium show in New York City.
The band is pointing fans to a number of charity benefactors for any donations, namely the Teenage Cancer Trust and Teen Cancer America.
Read an official statement, “As you have faced the inconvenience of isolation these past months, please think of the many teenage cancer patients who are in the fight of their lives. Follow your local guidelines, stay safe, relax and watch The Who, and do one of the most important things you can do today, donate to help teens facing cancer.”
Added Daltrey, “If you can’t donate to both charities just choose the one that’s closest to your heart. But whatever you do please make sure you donate.”
Tune in on Saturday, Aug. 8 via the band’s official YouTube.

August 7, 2020 at 1:20 pmThe Clash were great..wish they were showing some of their set too. But they certainly didn’t blow The Who off the stage! Not even close! The Shea concert was everything you could hope to see and hear from The Who!
