After closing out their summer tour schedule this past weekend, Dead & Company have announced that they will return to Mexico in January 2020 for another round of Playing in the Sand, the group’s winter destination concert event.
Next year’s installation of the festival will take place Jan. 16–19, 2020, in Riviera Cancún, Mexico. The CID Presents-promoted event will feature three nights of Dead & Co. music on the beach. Ticket packages will go on sale July 15 at 1 p.m. ET, with an alumni pre-sale beginning July 12.
This year’s Playing in the Sand brought Dead & Co. back to the oceanside with sets from the host band as well as Dumpstaphunk and Larkin Poe. Stay tuned to the event’s website and social media for more information on Playing in the Sand 2020.

July 10, 2019 at 3:12 pmNot bitter, brah. Just amazed at how/why you chompers continue to lap up the shitty music these guys are putting out. Nobody dancing because the tempo is so slow. Drunk boomers and hipster noobs talking through the whole show. I’d rather go see Jimmy Buffett.

July 8, 2019 at 4:05 pmGood shows. One has a choice to go or not to go. The bitterness of some astounds me. As if these tunes should never be played again.
