Yolk has announced that it will reunite for two shows next month. The band will perform April 5 at Lions Den in New York City and April 6 at New Cheers Pub in Binghamton, NY. ‘It’s the typical story, says guitarist Dave Fitzhugh. Band tries like MFers for 8 years, band is deemed completely unmarketable, band runs out of money, band misses the free weed and mini-mart burritos, band gets back together for gigs and a weird new album.’
Yolk also includes vocalist Jimmy John McCabe, guitarst Pete Carvelas, bassist Jim Lomonaco, alto saxophonist Jeff Pettit, tenor saxophonist Drew Bellavia and drummer Lurph Murphy. A release date for the new album has not yet been announced.
