Deep Banana Blackout played an impromptu set at The Side Bar in Gainesville, FL after the fire marshal shut down The Palace, where the band was originally scheduled to perform. We had our instruments in our hands about to go on when they shut us down. It reminded me a bit of last year at the Vibes, says guitarist Fuzz. After the venue was closed, the band began playing on the street to a crowd of more than 100 people. Moments later, Deep Banana was invited to take the stage at The Side Bar and the fans filed in to the new venue. It was one of those crazy nights, adds Fuzz. We had a lot of fun and were adding lyrics to our songs, kind of commenting on the whole situation.
The group plays tonight at the Freebird Cafn Jacksonville Beach, FL. For the complete itinerary, visit www.deepbananablackout.com.
