Neville Brothers drummer Mean Willie Green took the stage with Juice Friday at Tipitinas in New Orleans. Green sat in midway through the set for Just Kissed My Baby >Coulda Been Sombody -> Love the One Youre With. The unofficial New Orleans Saints mascot, Whistle Monster also made an appearance during the set.
The show was dubbed the Funk for Free concert and also included a free form set featuring Green, Galactics Robert Mercurio (bass) and Ben Ellman (saxophone), and John Spiegel.
Juice plays next December 27 at One Block East in Greenville, MS. The groups official website is www.neworleansjuice.com.
