Govt Mule has confirmed its initial spring and summer itinerary. New dates include a co-bill with O.A.R. April 29 at Moby Arena in Ft. Collins, CO, May 2 at Nashville River Stages in Nashville, TN, May 4 at Music Midtwon in Atlanta and May 31 at Pensacola Springfest in Pensacola, FL. The band will also appear at several previously announced festivals (All Good, 10,000 Lakes, Vibes, Hobstock). The Mules current line-up features guitarist Warren Haynes, drummer Matt Abts, keyboardist Danny Louis and a permanent bass player to be named later.
On May 3, the band will play a special show at the Saenger Theater in New Orleans. Billed as The Deepest End, the concert will signify the end of the groups rotating bassist status. Several of the bass players that have performed with Govt Mule over the last two years, as well as other special guests, will take the stage. The concert will be recorded for an upcoming live DVD and album.
The band will announce its new bassist in the coming months.
