Former Steve Kimock Band steady bassist Alphonso Johnson (Weather Report, Other Ones) will return to the stage with the quartet for two upcoming dates. Johnson will step in for Arne Livingston at Ohio’s Hookahville on August 30th and at the Earthdance Festival for Peace in Laytonville, CA on Sept 21st. In other Kimock news, the guitarist will perform three Steve Kimock & Friends shows over the weekend of September 11-13 at Chesters in Fayetteville, Arkansas. The line-up for these shows will include regular drummer Rodney Holmes along with Reid Mathis on bass and Pete Sears on piano. Full details along with additional dates can be found at Kimock.com.
