The Blind Boys of Alabama will celebrate _The Gospel at Colonus _20th anniversary this fall, taking the famed musical uptown to New Yorks Apollo Theater. Starting on October 25, the vocal group will join forces with several Broadway stars, including Charles S. Dutton, for the plays Harlem debut. _The Gospel of Colonus _resets the Greek tragedy of the blind King Oedipus in the context of a Black Pentecostal church service. 8:00 PM performances are scheduled at The Apollo on October 25, 27, 29, 30, 31 and November 2-4. Special matinee performances are also scheduled from October 30-31. On October 12, The Blind Boys will also appear at the Apollo with Ben Harper & the Innocent Criminals, promoting their recent release There Will Be A Light.
