A two-CD set spanning the career of Mr. Robert Hall Weir is set for release later this month. Weir Here opens with a disc of studio tracks that spans eight prior albums including Weir’s version of ‘Wabash Cannonball’ from Dan Zanes and Friends’ ‘children’s disc’ House Party. Disc two features live material much of which is culled from Grateful Dead live performances, along with a take on Dylan’s ‘Masters of War’ from a RatDog rehearsal. Weir performs with RatDog tonight at the Roseland Theater in Portland, OR (where the group recorded its Live at Roseland CD on April 25 and 26, 2001).
