On Friday night in Milwaukee, Chris Robinson made the decision to cancel his band’s performance at the Rave in Milwaukee. The New Earth Mud web site explains, ‘Chris thought it would be unfair for fans to see the show in such a sub-standard setting. Evidently the setup of the venue didn’t allow for the majority of those viewing the stage to do so without their view being obstructed. Chris deeply regrets not being able to perform for the fans in Milwaukee but promises to be back to the city at a proper setting soon.’ Tickets are available for refund at their point of purchase.
Fortunately the venue did suffice the next night when the group opened for the Allman Brothers band at Fox Cities Stadium in Appleton , WI. Following the NEM set a number of band members sat in with the ABB, as Robinson added vocals to ‘Key to the Highway,’ Audley Freed played guitar on ‘Southbound’ and Rob Barraco stepped up on keys for ‘Southbound’ and ‘Mountain Jam.’
This evening Chris Robinson and New Earth Mud are in Hartford at the Webster Theatre which should be just fine.
