Never Odd Or Even, String Cheese Incidents Kyle Hollingsworths solo release offers a range of material, both re-interpretations of material he has performed with the String Cheese Incident and new compositions. The thirteen tracks focus on instrumentals although Hollingsworth does sing on Dont Say, one of the earliest tunes he wrote with String Cheese. Meanwhile Joshua Redman lends new textures to the SCI live staple Bam! as well as The Crusade. Robert Randolph appears on The Bridge to help support a collection of players that also includes Dave Watts, Ross Martin, Matt Spencer and Jans Ingber. The disc, which is set for a December 7 release, also includes takes on Seventh Step and Boo Boos Pik-a-nic as well as Ill Spew You Out an improvisation built around a preacher’s televised sermon that the keyboardist originally captured on his mini-disc recorder.
