In the coming days, Ben Harper team with the Blind Boys of Alabama for a series of television spots. The guitarist recently collaborated with the legendary vocal group on the gospel-theamed release There Will Be A Light . On October 12, Harper also paired with the Blind Boys for a sold-out show at New York’s Apollo Theater. Friday, Harper and the Blind Boys will perform on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, which tapes in Burbank, CA. On Monday, Harper and the Blind Boys will travel to Los Angeles to tape episodes of The Late Late Show and Tavis Smiley. Harper’s longtime backing band The Innocent Criminals are expected to perform on The Tonight Show only. The Blind Boys recently wrapped up a performance residency of The Gospel at Colonus’ at the Apollo Theater.
