funky Meters guitarist Brian Stoltz will tackle the war, among other issues, on his new CD, God, Guns & Money. A personal affair, the guitarists latest effort is a snapshot of the period spent with his younger brother serving in Iraq. In a Jambands.com interview last spring, Stoltz said, You know, I am really upset right now because I have a younger brother who is in Iraq. He is a crew chief on a Black Hawk in the National Guard. He got sent to Baghdad and it’s just really got me upset. I just think we are being fed a lot of bullshit and I am just really upset about having my little brother up there. The disc will come out under the guitarist’s name in April. Stoltz will perform this Friday at New York’s BB King Blues Club with PBS.
