MagnoliaFest has been a definitive southern event since its initial incarnation as Big Cosmo’s Sunshine Daydream Weekend in 1997. The festival will return to Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park in Live Oak, Florida this coming October. However, it is also expanding is geographic ambit with the addition of MagnoliaFest Midwest. This event will take place on July 22-24 at the Bill Monroe Memorial Music Park in Bean Blossom, IN. Confirmed to perform are a range of bluegrass, newgrass and old-time music practitioners including Bela Fleck Acoustic Trio, Peter Rowan & Tony Rice Quartet, Drew Emmitt Band, the Duhks, Hot Buttered Rum String Band and many others, with additional artists yet to be announced.
