On Saturday, Allman Brothers Band guitarist Derek Trucks was standing up for a friend, serving as best man at his wedding. In turn, standing in his stead on stage was Jack Pearson who joined Warren Haynes on guitar for the Brothers at the Von Braun Center in Huntsville, AL. Pearson is a longtime friend of Haynes, who facilitated Pearsons two year stint with the group which began after Haynes departed the ABB in 1997. Pearson served as Dickey Betts guitar foil before returning to his own projects in 1999, yielding his stage slot to Derek Trucks.
