Over the years Rashawn Ross has made a name as one of the scenes hardest working trumpet players. Indeed, Ross has toured with both Soulive and Yerba Buena, also squeezing in a Jammys appearance with String Cheese Incident and Perry Farrell last year. Apparently Dave Matthews took note and responded by inviting the trumpeter onstage for two performances in Hartford, CT this weekend. Saturday night Ross emerged for a version of the groups new guest jam vehicle Louisiana Bayou at the Meadows Music Theatre. A night later, Ross returned for a reprise of Louisiana Bayou as well as Rhyme & Reason and Rapunzel. Dave Matthews Band will appear next at Scranton, PAs Ford Pavilion Wednesday.
