John Keanes Supercat Records launched its official website today, confirming the upcoming release of the second posthumous collection from the late Michael Houser, entitled Sandbox. Houser recorded the material in late 2001 and early 2002, and while some songs such as the title track were part of Widespread Panic’s repertoire, many of them never appeared in the live setting. The first 1000 orders will receive a bonus disc with additional material that does not appear on Sandbox. Folks visiting the Supercat site should be patient, however, as it has been down as of late since the flow of visitors has exceeded the sites permissible bandwidth limit.
